NeNe Leakes Claps Back at Andy Cohen: Do We Have a PROBLEM?!

Considering that NeNe Leakes might already be quitting The Real Housewives, this cannot be helping.

Andy Cohen appeared to shade NeNe on Watch What Happens Live, and NeNe is letting him have it.

"By the way," Andy begins in the included clip, "one of NeNe's confessional looks this year is the same dress she wore to our big doorbell show in L.A."

He reminds fans that this was "where the strap broke!"

Andy is referring to a familiar red lacy Marchesa Notte dress.

He even runs a pair of images of NeNe in the dress across the screen while his guests laugh.

"So," Andy continues, "I guess she fixed her strap, which we love."

He adds credit: "We just love our eagle-eyed researchers here."

It appears that Andy, despite his entire career, doesn't yet realize when he's veering into insulting territory.

Perceiving the audience's mocking laughter, he asks: "Why, was that shady?"

"I didn't mean for that to be shady," he protests.

Clearly, he meant for it to be a piece of trivia or perhaps a bit like pop-up video, rather than an insult at one of Bravo's biggest stars.

But NeNe did not see it that way, just as the audience did not.

She took to Instagram, posted a clip of the incident, and let Andy have it.

"Can somebody please tell me what was the point of this?" NeNe furiously asks in her captions.

She expresses: "Like i don’t get it."

"That was 2 years ago i wore this dress ONCE," NeNe points out.

She continues: "So i can’t sit in a confessional with it on."

NeNe asks: "@bravoandy How many times have you recycled your suits and ties?"

"#pointless #messy why you care?" she demands to know.

"It’s enough that we #RHOA ladies come for each other," NeNe complains.

She add: "And now we have to worry about executives coming for us!"

"No i mean coming for me! It’s not cool," NeNe declares.

"Wasn’t you interviewing those girls?" she asks. "What you mad about?"

"Y’all stay coming for me but soon as i say something or do something I’m wrong," NeNe characterizes.

In all caps, her caption concludes: "I DONT APPRECIATE THIS AT ALL!"

Now, we are reasonably confident that Andy Cohen did not mean anything malicious by this.

As we already noted, it looked like he was sharing some entertaining trivia, made entertaining only by the strap having broken.

He seemed surprise by the reactions of his guests and the audience.

Even so, maybe he should have known better before he brought up the topic. At least workshopped the topic.

NeNe Leakes is not known for her even tempter and chill under pressure.

If she weren't the sort of person who lashes out at the slightest provocation, she wouldn't be making nearly $3 million for one reality season.

Andy and pretty much everyone at Bravo know how dramatic she can be.

And to be fair, she may have felt genuinely and reasonably hurt by Andy's segment.

Reusing outfits is considered gauche by the ulta-rich actors of Hollywood who usually think of this in terms of red carpet events and interviews.

This is easy enough to do for slender women who care about appearances and have plenty of money to spare.

A woman whose body falls outside of the super-slender standard looks may find it harder to locate a designer who wants to dress her.

This happens with huge blockbuster stars. Clearly, this dress made NeNe look good and feel confident so she wore it again. Let her live.
