Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Share Candid New Wedding Photo, Celebrate Engagement Anniversary

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just got married, folks!

    Okay, maybe not just.

The famous couple tied the knot back in May of 2018, of course.

But the Duke and the Duchess just released a new photo from this monumental occasion, in celebration of a related monumental occasion.

Harry asked Meghan to marry him two years ago to the day.

The royal couple -- who welcomed son Archie on May 6 -- marked the joyous occasion on their joint Instagram page, sharing a never-before-seen picture from the Royal Wedding...

... as well as one of their popular Royal Baby.

In the wedding portrait above, photographer Chris Allerton captured a candid moment between Meghan and Harry following their fairy tale ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Wrote Markle and Harry as a caption on Instagram to these images:

“On this day, two years ago: 27th of November 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the news of their engagement, later becoming Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex!

"They have since celebrated their wedding anniversary and welcomed their son, Archie, into the world."

What a two years it has been, huh?

The attractive twosome held their engagement announcement photo call in the Sunken Gardens, which was one of Princess Diana’s favorite places.

When asked by the press how they felt at the time, Harry replied: “Thrilled.” Very glad it’s not raining!”

    Meghan then added: “So happy.”

Harry also made followers blush and/or squeal with delight and admiration when asked during this press opportunity when he knew Markle was The One.

“The very first time we met," he replied with a smile.

Since this time, of course, Markle and Harry have remained squarely in the spotlight.

    For better or worse.

Amid constant rumors of a feud with other members of the Royal Family, along with chatter that Markle continually displays a pompous attitude, Meghan and Harry have actually filed a lawsuit against one British publication.

Markle has trashed many stories about her as untrue and offensive.

Specifically, Meghan has taken understandable exception to the way her relationship with her father has been portrayed.

For this reason, and many others, she and Harry are set to take a break from their Royal Duties.

It's worth noting, however, that this break will NOT include any time being spent with The Queen, following an announcement that they'll be breaking from Royal Tradition and simply enjoying time with each other for the holidays.

    A Royal Family Photo

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Wednesday.

    Concluded this statement:

“Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland.

"This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen."
